The Old Rectory Kindergarten 3-5 Room

The final stage of your child's journey to school. We follow the early years foundation stage as required by Ofsted and ensure that we provide lots of opportunities for children to flourish and prepare them for their transition to school.

Opportunities are provided throughout the day to extend children's vocabulary through 'storytelling', 'letters and sounds' and 'circle time' amongst others. Daily activities cover all areas of learning, encourage independence and build positive relationships with peers and adults alike.

We have a 'lending library' from which children choose books to take home and 'read' with the family. The children have their own dining room for their self-service lunch. Menus respect all cultures and are varied and interesting mealtimes are a relaxed social occasion.

In July all our little students 'graduate'.We hold a 'Bugs Ball' sports day and have photographs taken.
