Rectory Activities

Musician Paul our 'music man' comes into the nursery to provide an interesting and fun time.He plays the guitar and the children sing along and dance too.

We also have informal music classes weekly within the rooms, where children are encouraged to experiment with our many varied instruments.

Exercise Classes 'Being Healthy' is a very important part of our ethos and outside play is very much embedded in this too. Opportunities are also provided inside through our dance and exercise sessions incorporated into our routine in an enjoyable fun way, providing children with a positive physical experience.

Outing and activities are arranged around topics, we will inform you in advance on our topics via letter or verbally. We celebrate all festivals, cultures and events through role play, activities, parties, meals and outings.

Baby Massage: Two members of our team are completing their 'baby massage practitioner course' to enable them to provide mum and baby groups.

Forest school- All of our team enjoyed taking part in a forest school training day, learning many new outdoor skills. Some members of staff went on to complete and qualify in the full forest school course enabling them to lead teams of children in activities such as building dens, making fires and cooking food, nature crafts and making rope swings. All carried out in a professionally supervised and risk assessed environment, an excellent way of developing confidence, understanding of the world and self care skills.
