Moorcroft Grange 3-5 room

picture of a blue and cream mouse The larger of our 2 nursery rooms this room is sectioned to divide it into different areas that provide facilities for messy play, reading, construction, information communication and technology (ICT) and home corner areas. On either side of this room we also have a sensory room - always a favourite with the children, and a forest room containing animal pens - currently housing rabbits and guinea pigs.

This room also provides access to a developing outside area that provides daily free flow access to the outside play areas. The OFSTED Early Years framework requires children to be school ready prior to joining school. This requires that children are exposed to Literacy and numeracy learning, ICT experiences and have an understanding of the world around them.

As a forest school the children in this room enjoy regular trips to the adjacent Grange park area to explore and develop their understanding of the natural world around them.
