The Old Rectory Kindergarten and Moorcroft Grange are located within easy access of the A500 offering great links to the city centre. Both settings offer a fantastic outside space and large open plan rooms where children can explore freely in a safe environment.
Our highly qualified team are always available to offer help and support and our high staff to child ratios ensures your child receives the excellent care they require. Call in for a visit anytime to see what your child could be experiencing.
We believe all children are naturally curious about their environment and we wish to enhance and extend this natural curiosity.
We focus on celebrating the everyday magical moments the world provides us by creating an atmosphere of passion and the constant invitation for new learning experiences.
We promote imagination, awe, and wonder in our children.
Listening to children ensures each child is treated as an individual. Letting children take the lead enables independence, self-confidence, emotional growth and the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
Play is essential and beneficial for learning.
The environment is a teacher - stimulating and open-ended resources aid in interest and learning.
Home from Home – nursery should be a nurturing and attentive environment where a child’s care and wellbeing are as important as learning.
We believe that some of the most important lessons in life take place outside of a ‘classroom’.
We provide plenty of outdoor learning for our children, which includes gardening, den building and environmental education.
We wish to further expand on the use of our wonderful outdoor areas and follow the philosophy of Forest School. We currently have our new management team working towards gaining their Level 3 Forest School Leadership qualifications in order to deliver a long-term outdoor programme for our children.
